Description

  • Identify and open new accounts within the pet speciality sector, including independent and corporate stores, veterinary practices, groomers, trainers, and breeders.
  • Maintain and grow relationships through regular visits and a structured monthly call cycle.
  • Promote and demonstrate products, provide training, and ensure strong in-store merchandising and display.
  • Monitor stock levels, track wholesaler supply, and suggest promotions to improve product turnover.
  • Analyse sales trends, submit daily and monthly reports, and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Stay informed about competitor products, pricing strategies, and industry trends.
  • Participate in promotions, company events, and management meetings as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Certificate or diploma in sales, marketing, merchandising, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ field sales experience in FMCG or pet speciality industry
  • Proven understanding of the pet industry or a clear affiliation with the sector
  • Genuine love for animals and passion for the pet industry
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Western and Eastern Cape
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours for in-store promotions and events
